“Mandated Reporters” Ignored My Sexual Abuse Reports, Repeatedly

I am a mother of nine children, five of which are grown and five grandchildren.

In February of 2019 I took custody of my five-year-old granddaughter she was abused neglected, sexually abused, etc. I won’t get in the details.

But nevertheless she has been sick her entire life. Since the age of 6 months when I took custody of my granddaughter. My granddaughter had been sexually abused on more than one occasion while In my daughter’s Care.

I reported it to CPS in allegany county New York when it happened. Again, I reported it to the Livingston county, New York, Mount Morris, New York. I had made anonymous calls to report the abuse and neglect and multiple other issues that were going on. And finally I had enough Valentine’s day of 2019 I gave my daughter no choice but to give me custody of my granddaughter.

Very early summer, late spring I was awarded custody of my granddaughter.

Rewinding a bit, late February, I got her into a doctor. She was 5 years old weighing 30 lbs, malnourished, sick, urinary tract infection. She wouldn’t sleep alone, was afraid of the dark, cried when you hugged her because she thought she was being hit.

I immediately got her into counseling. I told her worker about the sexual abuse. As well as her pediatrician.

What’s come to find out later it was in her charts from 2015. Her own mother took her in for the suspicions of sexual abuse.

Nobody reported this! None of these mandated reporters reported the suspicions of the possibility of sexual abuse with this little girl. This angered me.

I had an old landlord that I was going through a court case with. She kept retaliating on me by calling CPS to try and get me to move out of her home. Boeing founded in January of 2019.

I told one of these CPS workers Erica Montemarano the suspected abuse that was going on with my granddaughter and my daughter’s care. She did not report it herself in fact she closed my case and I never heard from her again.

In February of 2019, when I took my granddaughter from my daughter. I made an anonymous report. But did not stay anonymous. I eventually revealed my name and some more issues. There was a CPS worker named Tammy of Livingston county, department of social services in Mount Morris, New York and a worker by the name of Laura Wall from the same department. Who came to visit me and my daughter.

I had all the proof by then my. Granddaughters medical records everything to prove that this has been going on for quite some time. Including pictures that my granddaughter had drawn expressing her feelings towards this.

Neither of those reporters. Well CPS reporters whatever you want to call them. Ever filed a report against my daughter. And told my daughter and my son-in-law and my grandson at the time to have a nice flight to Florida. Because they were moving to get away from CPS.

My granddaughter remained with me. Along with three of my sons, one age 14, another age 13 and autistic and the other one that’s 9. My granddaughter has a maladjustment disorder, a high anxiety disorder and a depressive disorder that she had suffered since the age of three. Not to mention she was very underweight weighing only 30 pounds at 5 years old.

But my landlord that I was feuding with. After we moved from her residence began retaliation calls again. Since we were in the process of suing her in court for payment of rent, so on and so forth. She was upset at the fact that we were pursuing our rent money back due to horrible living conditions. That she had forced us to live in for a year including ecoli in California in our water that had been keeping us all sick. She retaliated by calling CPS making an anonymous report. That I had been allowing my son, who was 18 at the time and not living with us to sexually abused my granddaughter.

I told the CPS worker that this allegation was a lie. I told her I knew where it came from. Because 3 hours prior to them coming to my home, I had chased my landlord, ex-landlord out of my property and called the cops on on her for harassment. I had also asked the CPS worker which at this point in time again was Erica Montemerano.

I asked her why when I told her about the sexual abuse prior to my granddaughter coming to live with me. When I reported it to her in January of 2019 if she had followed through with following any reports against my daughter nothing was said. She got rude. She got nasty.

She set up an appointment for my granddaughter to go to a special clinic for sexually abused children. On our way there on December 4th she told me some things to tell my granddaughter. Which I found kind of funny because usually in those situations they tell you not to tell the child anything. But in my case they told me different things to say. I don’t want to get into that here but I told my granddaughter what she wanted me to.

My granddaughter then made disclosures against two of my sons. My 14 year old son and an 18 year old son. Whom neither of my children has. She’s never been left alone with the boys, just because I already knew her past. She had made accusations.

I remove the two children from my home just to be on the safe side to cooperate with DSS and to make sure that my granddaughter was safe. On December 6th they got a court order from the judge. With US present not being able to explain our side of the story. They removed all four children December 6th.

It has been 8 months and there’s been no improvement on DSS’s part to return my kids. I have multiple audio recordings of them stating how great we’re doing, this and that. There is still not even any talk as far as unsupervised visitation goes. I have a trial coming up. I am completely scared these people have already got on the stand multiple times and lied. Which can be proven that were lies. None of this is being brought up.

I’m done, just at my wits end and I don’t know what to do. Being in New York I can’t find any help. We have no more friends. We don’t even have any family because of these people. Taking everybody out of our lives and we just don’t know what to do.
