Possible Human Trafficking in Alaska
It pains me to write this article. The person that I’m writing about not only has had the power to do something for more than 15 years. Yet, year after year there are more victims multiplying in the in-effects of human trafficking. The effects linger on for decades. Alcoholism, domestic violence there is more to trafficking than just sex.
As A Survivor
As a survivor I can explain in more ways than one. Every day is a struggle. Even once you get out of the environment you’re constantly reminded. It can leave scars not just on you but on the loved ones around you.
In fact, the only thing that is happening is copious amounts of money have been allocated to different agencies to help the victims. Yet all that is happening is money is being passed around. Sadly, I see no resolve.
Anchorage, Alaska
I’ve lived in Anchorage, Alaska since I was 13 years old. I was trafficked up here by my own mother. My situation was completely brushed under the rug as a child by my mother. And as an adult by my abuser everything brushed under the rug.
So I am wondering what you are doing to help the people of Alaska, other than riding on your daddy’s coattails into office. I’ve heard every excuse in the book we don’t have enough Internet service well that’s a damn lie. We live in Alaska. We have cell phone service also we do not live in igloos for everyone reading this article in the lower 48.
Actions speak louder than words.
This is not a political thing, this is reality. The goat lady has been in office for more than 15 years. She also preaches about how devastating trafficking is for women. Her political ties and pause. You would think if she actually cared about the cause she would be able to do something about it. Instead countless amounts of money. You have gone just withering away. All with the intentions on helping trafficking victims.
Yet, I am here to tell you as a survivor nothing was ever done for me ever. In fact the people that trafficked me. Not only did they traffic me. They took my daughter as a child. Trafficked my daughter. Now they have taken my granddaughter and put her into the same cycle I fought so hard to get out of.
Human trafficking in the state of Alaska has become multi generational.
I guess I’m a little tired of hearing how concerned the goat lady is. How she truly cares. Yet nothing is being done. The violence is at an all-time high. Alaska has one of the highest murder rates, unsolved murders, child trafficking, missing persons, and sex trafficking.
Perplexing isn’t it?
Does anybody ever stop to think, how is it that all these murders go on unsolved in Alaska?
Why do children go missing constantly with no trace?
How do we have one of the biggest sex crime?
Why is it that courts do not give benefit of the doubt or let the accused speak anymore?
