Olivia Jansen (3) found dead after Amber Alert, father arrested.

An Amber Alert was issued by Kansas City Kansas Police for 3 year old Olivia Jansen after her father found her missing in the early hours of Friday 10th June.

She was last seen wearing purple/pink pajamas at her residence, 4400 block of Gibbs Road.

Her father woke up at 6.30am to find the back door open and Olivia missing. He had last seen her around 11 p.m on Thursday, he told police.

Whitney Lynn Purvis is bio mother of Olivia.
She was transferred from jail to prison on July 7th because of hit and run charges.

Searches started in the wooded area behind the home. Lead searcher told the media-

“It is a large wooded area. There’s a lot of debris and it encompasses a vast area,” he said. “We are utilizing K-9s, we are utilizing drones, we’re utilizing traffic. We’re utilizing a lot of different resources to be able to locate this child.”

Locals and others online started questioning the story being told.

Many rumors circulated, such as her biological mother being in jail and her father hiding her, to his dealer friends having her (this is often mentioned with missing children, but does it ever turn out to be true?)

Many claim Olivia has not been seen for around two weeks and that some were aware that abuse was going on in the home.

Sadly, the news announced her body had been found and her father arrested-

Police gave a press conference and confirmed-

• The stories from dad and step mom were “bogus”
• Olivia is likely buried off a hiking trail in the woods
• FBI assisting in recovering the remains and processing the crime scene

Howard Jansen booked into jail – first degree murder and child abuse.
