My husband and I are like her second set of parents, that’s how close we are. I’ve asked for her via phone several times and her parents have also agreed that she will stay with us. The CPS lady said to me (a direct quote) ” Why don’t you go get a lawyer and fight for her.” I can’t afford one. Come Monday, May 24th 2021 I’m going to go to the courthouse and put a petition in for custody.

Why is there so much hassle, wasted time and why is she being deliberately hurt? If they can simply place her with us. I’m not disqualified. It’s traumatic enough for her. They’ve restricted her from her family!! Why? The very people she needs to be with. What happened to the “FAMILY FIRST” motto please?

Something needs to be done so my granddaughter doesn’t suffer anymore, it’s clear that her happiness, mental health and overall well being do not matter to CPS, or any other agency in the system. She’s stressed out, unhappy, depressed, lacking the LOVE and comfort of her family and mainly Grandma and Pappy. I’m sure you know how I’m feeling. Please don’t let my precious granddaughter suffer anymore.

YOU can make it happen. In 2019 another family sued for $10 million dollars because of the many violations, false testimony, and the corruption of the system and official people. I’m going through a similar situation and it was with the same, Judge, CPS worker, not sure of the Guardian Ad Litum. Its Sealed now but why? I wish you would investigate. But FIRST and foremost, my granddaughter Olivia Saunders has very little time, they’re trying to get Michelle to sign over her parental rights!!!! She’s without counsel! I am appealing to the very heart of you. As parents, as grandparents.

I was taken for custody of my son when he was five.

Before that the father would come to my house for a few hours, but not truly interact with my son. Nor would he even try to financially support him.

He was very controlling and abusive towards me, and I could not handle anymore.

He had children that did not know about my son until he was four. I tried to be civil about the situation.

At five he took me in for a paternity test.

I tried to refuse based on age and not financially supporting the child, domestic relations told me it did not matter and granted the DNA test.

Middle of My Story

Once the DNA test was granted and he was found to be the father, I took him for child support only to find out that the job he said he had was a lie and he was on disability. The court granted him hourly visitation at first, then we had our first mediation. I did not agree with the visitation, but my legal aid attorney stated I had to agree or would look spiteful. So then overnights were granted and my son was only use to one home.

This was in November. Even though I did not agree, I tried to make the best of a bad situation because I also found out he was married and had a wife.

The custody arrangement seemed to be going smoothly.

My son was showing some behavioral problems, but thought it was because of the transition. I was wrong though because in January, my son came out with sexual abuse allegations.

My world crumbled and then my CYS journey began. He told the worker from Washington county sexual abuse allegations, but it happened in Allegheny county and they found it unsubstantiated. They stated that the child did not disclose enough in the forensic interview and to take him to STARS.

I started taking him to therapist who made several child line reports and stated he was abused. Same thing happened Washington said there were sexual abuse allegations and Allegheny due to forensic interview found it unsubstantiated.

I tried to reason with the courts stating my son would not make this up, but they did not listen and still let the father have visitation.

I went into contempt to protect my son and was sanctioned.

End of My Story

During the final custody trial, none of my witnesses were heard regarding the sexual abuse. Not even the therapist. The conference officer, stated that the therapist is a mandated reporter and she did her job by calling CYS.

From the beginning of the trial the conference officer stated that I should settle for 50/50 because going through with the trial might alter my custody in a more negative manner. Several times during the trial the same thing was said, but kind of mother would I be if I did not fight.

After the trial, the final custody trial recommended order was joint 50/50 dated April 2nd. I never received the order, but the father did. The order I finally received was not stamped by the photostat department. I have filed a trial de novo to try to contest.

Evidence

• January 6th CYS call about sexual abuse allegations.
• Forensic interview done January 28th 2019, not enough evidence. Julia fana stated could be construed as rough bath time.
• February 26th 2019 first appointment with STARS.
• February 28th unsubstantiated case through Allegheny county CYS.
• June 30th sexual abuse allegations
• July 18th forensic interview allegations made but not enough
• August 2019 unsubstantiated by CYS
• Therapist through SPHS care center states sexual abuse Washington PA
• November 2 2020 and January 4th 2020 final custody hearing.
• Other sides attorney in August of 2019 construed the forensic paper work and asked the father if he had a pool because it stated my son made the disclosure after getting out of the pool at my house. He also stated I called CYS when my son was seen at Mon valley hospital who contacted CYS.

A caseworker made home visits monthly. First and second caseworkers were very nice and always finding the living arrangements to be appropriate and children were happy and safe.

Then in July 2018 caseworker changed again it was Pamela Gross. She was a very rude person to children and myself.

In September 2018 she contacted Blair County CPS to remove 6 year grandson from school due to allegation and put him in foster care and also remove young 4 year old granddaughter to foster care. No warrant and no reason told.

Granddaughter cried while in my arms and begged not to let stranger take her. So heartbreaking, Although allegation was unsubstantiated by CPS, police and forensic interview.

Pamela Gross would never allow visitation, not even with my mother. During the time the children lived with me the children and I attended hearings with CPS every three months, grandchildren were in another room with their paternal great- grandmother who lived in Carlisle.

When children were kidnapped from me by Pamela Gross permanency hearings were then held with foster parents being with my grandchildren in a separate room.

I still wasn’t allowed to visit them which I never understood.

The allegation was unfounded. Even though Judge Guido had a copy of the letter/document I had received from Harrisburg CPS the Capital of PA stating the allegation was unsubstantiated he terminated my kinship. And allowed the foster parents to adopt my grandchildren.

That tells me that CPS has more power than the judges or as I have heard CPS and those serving in Family court including the judges share in the thousands of federal monies received by CPS from adoptions.

My family and I have researched the Child Protective Services. And have spoken with hundreds of parents. Who had their children taken from them with lies from CPS caseworkers never to see their children again. Some are abused in foster homes, sex trafficked for money and murdered.

CPS does not protect the children they kidnap.

I am sure there are good and decent caseworkers. Who care about the children. But I doubt if they stay with the CPS agency. If that agency is kidnapping children with their falsehoods.

I can tell you that where I live in Blair County the Child Protective Agency is run honestly and they help children and parents.

To have kinship I had to become an official foster parent.

Four months ago a caseworker called to ask me to take in a young boy on a temporary basis until they found him a good home he would be happy in. He lost his parents and had no other family.

I was shocked since Pam Gross and Judge Guido wouldn’t give my own grandchildren back to me.

The Blair County office reiterated that I was completely exonerated of the allegation.

I agreed to give the boy a temporary home. Very nice young fellow and my daughter and I enjoyed having him with us.

The last illegal plan Pamela Gross allowed without writing a book is that I just found out recently that before the allegation while at a hearing the foster parents that adopted my grandchildren were visiting them in the separate room getting to know them. They wanted to adopt a brother and sister.

I can’t help thinking since Pamela Gross knew the foster parents. She purposely took my grandchildren so they could adopt them.

Attorneys, appointed or private do not want to take CPS cases in PA. I did find one private one who CPS wouldn’t even allow to see the file.

I just want my grandchildren back.

We worry about them all the time are they safe, abused, do they cry to come home, have they been sold to a pedophile? They don’t know why they were taken except maybe the lies they are being told where they live.

Miss them and love them more than words can say.

The Judge Still Ruled

That I was emotionally abusive, am mentally unstable. And refused to go back to 50/50 as my children wished.

I lost my career as an RN of 23 years.

Case is now in Federal Court.
